I have decided to resurrect this blog and keep a sort of research diary which I know will make enthralling reading for my vast audience – ha ha. It will also, I hope, help me to see at a glance where I am in my research endeavours. I tend to be working on a number of projects at any given time, so it will help, I think, to outline exactly what I know about each individual and what I still need to find out – and to define exactly where I am in that process. If this leads to anything vaguely interesting, I will publish it in the stories section of the family history website . Stand by for excitement plus!!

That is an awesome idea. It strikes me that often it is the process of doing genealogy research that creates the stories, not just the final product (family tree). I also reckon other genealogy researchers might tune into your blog, especially if you are writing about the method you have used to find particular types of information. Its a living, breathing “how-to” record.

Thanks for them kind words – I hadn’t thought of the process being of interest to others, I find it absorbing but find most people go glassy-eyed very quickly when I talk about it! At least, this time, I have no expectations, so any interest is a bonus 🙂
